Jacopo Riccati
Jacopo Francesco Riccati (May 28th 1676 with Venice - April 15th 1754 with Trévise) was a Physicien and Italian Mathématicien , father of Vincenzo Riccati and Giordano Riccati.
Its work in Hydraulic (channels of Venice) and in Acoustique leads it to solve differential equations of the second order by reducing them to the 1st order and more generally to seek methods of separation of the variables in order to obtain the solutions by simple squarings. Its work was published after its death by its sons starting from 1764 under the title Opere LED tells Jacopo Riccati .
It is in particular known for the equation of Riccati.
