Jacobus Mattheüs de Kempenaer

Jacobus Mattheüs de Kempenaer , born with Amsterdam the July 6th 1793 and died in Arnhem the February 12th 1870, is a lawyer and a politician Dutch.

One could count it among the liberal at the time of his entry to the Tweede Kamer. It formed part into 1844 of the Negenmannen (“Last nine men”) which were on the initiative of the revision of constitution. In 1848, it belonged to the charged commission of the constitutional revision, chaired by Thorbecke, and as a Minister for the interior matters, it played a big role in the implementation of the revision.

It then engaged in a preserving position more and was opposed to Thorbecke with the Tweede Kamer.
