Jacobs d\' Hailly

Gentleman inhabitant of Lille, adviser-secretary of the king to the chancellery of the Parliament of Flandres with Tournai, then Cambrai of 1686 to 1712. It resulted from a commercial family of Antwerp come to be established in Lille at the beginning of the 17th century. Its grandson was created marquis d' Aigremont by Louis XV in 1773. The accounts of voyages of Pierre-Louis Jacops d' Hailly are available to the National library of France.
