Jacob and his princess

Jacob and its princess (Карликнос/Karlik Our) is a Russian feature-length film of animation of Ilya Maksimov left in 2003.

It is about an adaptation of the German fairy tale of Wilhelm Hauff, Zwerg Nase .

The film was distinguished in several film festivals for children, such those of Chicago, Kristiansand and Oulu.

Synopsis

Jacob, the son of the shoe-maker, refuses to submit himself to a malicious witch. Then this one makes him lose seven years of its life and transforms it into a particularly ugly dwarf. When the hero returns at his place in this form, people make fun of him and his/her own mother does not recognize it.

But it always has good heart and a day it saves the life of a goose, which proves to be a princess to which one threw a bad fate. Both link their efforts to return finally on their premises and to put an end to the intrigues of the witch.
