Jacob K. Javits Center Convention
The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is a center of conference of Manhattan, with New York. Its plans are the work of the American architect of Chinese origin Ieoh Ming Pei. The building, whose architecture was revolutionist during his construction goes back to 1986, and was named with the memory of the senator of the State of New York, Jacob K. Javits who died this same year.
Surface available in the center is of 62,700 m2. The construction of a great center of conferences in the western part of Manhattan has sucity several sharp debates, until the beginning of the Années 1970, date on which projects of great scale were proposed, until the construction of the building.
