John Leslie (Jackie) Coogan (October 26th 1914 - March 1st 1984) was a American Acteur .
He becomes famous at 7 years thanks to the film Kid of Charles Chaplin and gained more than 4 million dollars of the time. He accepted however only part of this money which was used by his/her mother and her father-in-law. A lawsuit gained in 1935 enabled him to recover the sum of: 126000 dollars. This legal combat ends in the California Child Actor' S Bill , a law aiming at protecting the incomes from the Acteur S minors for the state of California. In 1935, he was the only survivor of an accident where his/her biological father and his friend perished, the actor Junior Durkin.
During the Second world war, Coogan required to be transferred in the air force in order to put forward there its aptitudes of pilot in the civilian. It carried out part of its service in India as a pilot of Planeur S.
After the war, it continued its career of actor with in particular the role of “Uncle Fester” in the televised series the Family Addams in 1964. He died in 1984 of an heart attack.
