Jack Bauer

Jack Bauer is a fictitious Personnage, hero of the televised series 24 hours stopwatch . Born on February 18th, 1966, he worked in several organizations of gouvernment the American such as the Delta Forces, SWAT and finally the cell anti-terrorist of Los Angeles. He is one of the best agents of the latter and could prevent several major terrorist attacks on the territory of the United States, saving thousands of civil lives like those of high ranking officials of the government. Its exploits cost much him on its private life, by revenge or from the important station that it occupies, him and its close relations were the target many attacks. The role of Jack Bauer is interpreted by Kiefer Sutherland which signed for two springtides in 2007.

Appearances

As a main character in 24, Jack plays a big role in the televised series (24 hours stopwatch) and the video game (24 hours stopwatch: play). Jack is the principal protagonist in the series and the books. He is the only character who appeared in every season with Aaron Pierce, the special agent of the secret services interpreted by Glenn Morshower.

Televised series 24

Jack Bauer was born in California, the 18 February 1966, it is the son of Phillip Bauer. After the College, it was registered with UCLA where it is graduate with a Bachelor in English Littérature. It continued to receive its Maîtrise in Criminologie and the Droit of CPU Berkeley. After having its education finishes, and after having been member of the army of the United States and granting its qualifications as a soldier, he had asked to join the Delta Forces, and he worked as a member of the team of the SWAT. Jack Bauer also worked with the CIA then with CTU. While with the CTU, he was the chief of a team for an action known during the incident of the attack of the Hotel of Los Angeles.

Jack married with Teri Bauer; they had a girl, Kim Bauer. But his wife dies assassinated by the second mole Nina Myers. Kim then decides not to have a relation with her father more because she thinks that it is its fault.

During 24, Jack was subjected to a " return of souffle" (in English: blowback). The first was in Day 1, with Jack being the target of the Drazen family (also targeted: Senator David Palmer and Robert Elect). Figurines of action 24

In January 2007, the toys of McFarlane announced plans for a line of figurines of action 24. Two figurines of Jack Bauer are currently in production. Both are packed up like the positionings locked up in a box and recreate scenes taken directly of the series. One expects that the first figurine strikes racks of memory in August 2007, with the second programmed for the version of season 2007 of holidays.

According to Sutherland in the magazine of magician after the advertisement, another figurine of Bauer had been designed at a point in the past and gave him to approve the similarity. Bauer makes an appearance in the last but one episode of the 18th season of the Simpsons with Chloe O' Brian. It is seen there it whereas it receives a call coming from Bart Simpson because of the crossing of the calls. Bart gives him false informations then. At the end of the episode, Jack Bauer and the tactical section of the CTU arrive at the Elementary school of Springfield, by breaking panes and by smashing walls, to stop Bart because of the telephone call. An episode of season 11 of South Park , entitled " The Snuke ", parody clearly season 5 of 24, with the character of South Park, Eric Cartman, who plays the part of Jack Bauer.

Jack Bauer also made an appearance in the sketch of opening of Conan O' Brien of Emmys 2007.

In 24 , Sutherland must produce around 18 hours of film each season.

Sutherland signed a contract to interpret the role of Bauer for three seasons more for 40 million dollars. It also gained a Golden Globe Award for the role in 2002.
