Jabron
The Jabron is a French Rivière sprinkling the department of the Drome. It is an affluent of the Roubion. Montélimar settled with the confluence of the two rivers.
Hydrology
The interannual medium flow or module of Jabron was calculated during 8 years with Montélimar. It is assembled to 1,52 m ³ a second for a surface of basin of 206 km ². The river present of the seasonal fluctuations of flow related to its rain mode, with high waters of end of winter-spring carrying the average monthly flow on the level from 2,15 to 2,94 m ³ from February to April included (with an in February maximum), followed by a progressive fall in May and June and of a dive in July, until a severe low water level of summer, with a fall of the monthly medium flow to 0,172 m ³ in August.
The VCN3 can fall until 0,006 m ³, in the event of dry quinquennial period, that is to say only 6 liters a second. The VCN3 is the past minimal quantity or minimal flow over three days consecutive.
As for the risings, they too important, of the month are not compared with the other rivers of the department. Indeed, the QIX 2 or calculated flow of rising biennial and the QIX 5 or flow calculated for a quinquennial rising is worth respectively 13,2 and 19 m ³ a second. The QIX 10 or calculated flow of decennial rising as well as the QIX 20 and QIX 50 were not calculated being given the insufficiency of the duration of observation (8 years) (see note).
The recorded maximum instantaneous flow with Montélimar is of 28,6 m ³ a second, while the maximum daily output was of 12,7 m ³.
Jabron, as the Roubion is a fairly abundant river. The Lame of water past in the catchment area of the river is of 235 millimetres annually, which is rather definitely lower than the French average, all confused basins. The specific Débit (or Qsp) is assembled thus at 7,4 liters a second and per square kilometer of basin.
