JBoss, Inc. is a division of Red Hat which publishes the Serveur of application J2EE JBoss.
History
The developers of the heart of JBoss all were used by a services company called “JBoss Inc. ”. This one was created initially by Marc Fleury, the originator of the first version of JBoss. The project is sponsored by a world network of partners and uses a Business model founded on the service (maintenance, the council, formation and certifications).July 19th, 2004, Jboss obtains certification J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) in version 1.4.
The Head office of the Taxes selected Jboss in August 2004 for the compatibility of its waiters with new standards J2EE.
In September 2004, JBoss application server becomes version 4.0 and joined the foundation Eclipses. In December 13rd, JBoss Application Server was downloaded more than 5 million times; the company announces its new Model Business: JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS), a platform Open Source for SOA.
In 2005, Marc Fleury asserts the place of n°1 world Middleware, Hibernate leaves in its version 3 on March 1st and Jboss sees its first annual conference users (Jboss World) with Atlanta in the United States.
March 1st, 2005, it is the occasion to announce Jboss Network, a series of services of support and the creation of a federation of company having open projects joint professional source: JBoss Open Source Federation.
March 21st, 2005, Novell and Jboss a significant evolution of their partnerships announces: Novell begin to pack up JBoss Application Server with its SuSE Linux Enterprise Server and its Novell exteNd.
Jboss announces on May 5th, 2005 its positioning on the European market and Asian of the intergiciels with creation with London and the Benladore of new office.
June 6th, 2005, Capgemini Nederland B.V, the professional of the Infogérance, becomes integrating system certified Jboss.
The expert Indian consultant in data processing, Satyam, becomes amongst other things Intégrateur Système Certified Jboss running October 2005 so providing robust solutions while reducing the total costs of possession (operating burnup) thanks to open solutions (an example: the cost of the licenses).
Nomura Research Institute (NRI) integrates Jboss in its solution “OpenStandia at the end of August 2005”.
Jboss World Barcelona was held the 10 October 12th, 2005 with Barcelona in Spain. That at summer the occasion for Alfresco, the leader in the content management of the imminent exit of its Alfresco Enterprise Network in its version Release Candidate using a model Programming Aspect-Oriented (AOP) with Hibernate and Jboss Hides.
In April 2006, Red Hat repurchases JBoss Inc for $350 million dollars. In May, JBoss joined W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), the OASIS (Organization for the Advancement off Structured Information Standards) and WS-I (Web Interoperability Services).
In February 2007, Marc Fleury leaves the group Red Hat.
Vitria, an integrator of solutions, joins Red Hat to provide a solution of Orientated architecture services (SOA) including/understanding its software Business Accelerator and JBoss Enterprise Application Platform “to give to the customers freedom to choose components SOA and to combine them to create the best solution with their particular needs”.
