J. Chalmers Doane
J. Chalmers Doane , born on November 3rd, 1938 in Nova Scotia (Canada) is Canadian Musicien of Ukulélé and Contrebasse. He is also an important actor in musical education with the Canada. He wrote several methods of training of the music by the Ukulélé which he regards as ideal to start.
Biography
In 1961, it is graduate in Nova Scotia College.
In 1966, it receives a B. Driven. ED. at the university of Boston.
From 1967 to 1985, it supervises the training of the music in the school system of Halifax as a director of musical education and is also implied as a professor.
In 1984, he became professor adj. in Nova Scotia Teachers' College.
It creates the Chalmers Doane Trio , with the musicians Patrick Ellis, Rick Hiltz, Sue McCulloch and Harland Suttis.
February 8th, 2005, he becomes member of the Ordre of Canada.
