Jórunn skáldmær

Jórunn skáldmær (“the young girl scalde” in Old norrois) is a Norwegian Scalde which composed in first half of the 10th century. Only three stanzas and two half-stanzas of sound Sendibítr (“corrosive Message”) were preserved, mainly in works of Snorri Sturluson. The Sendibítr , which evokes a conflict between the king of Norway Harald to the Beautiful Hair and its son Halfdan the Black, is the longest poem scaldic composed by a woman who reached us.
