Jéleznogorsk

Jéleznogorsk (Russian: Железногорск ) is a town of Russia located in the area (oblast) of Koursk at approximately 130 km at the North-West of Koursk. Its population is of 96.200 inhabitants (2005).

Jéleznogorsk was created in 1957 to exploit the iron ore of the magnetic Anomalie of Koursk. It acquired the statute of city in 1962.
