Jämsä
Jämsä is a city mid-west of the Finland, in the area of Finland-Power station. It is known to shelter the aeronautical division of the Finnish group of armament Patria and centers it tests of the Finnish Air force.
Geography
The city is built with a few kilometers of the lake Päijänne. One finds á proximity of the center the ski station of Himos. The commune strongly increased in 2001 with the fastening of Kuorevesi . It is bordered by the municipalities of Keuruu in the North-West, Jämsänkoski and Korpilahti in north, Luhanka in the east on other side of the Päijänne, Kuhmoinen in the south, and side Pirkanmaa by Längelmäki and Juupajoki in south-west, Vilppula and Mänttä in the west.The city, located on main road 9 (E63) between Jyväskylä (58 km) and Tampere (92 km), is well connected to the remainder of the country. Lahti is distant and 119 km (by the main road 24) and Helsinki of 223 km.
