János Bihari

János Bihari is a Violon ist Tzigane born with Veľké Blahovo (in Slovaque, or Nagyabony in Hungarian) (close to Bratislava, then Presbourg or Pozsony) the October 21st 1764 and died with Budapest the April 26th 1827.

Its technique virtuoso and its traditional repertory inspired Franz Liszt and Hector Berlioz. He is regarded as the author of the Marche of Rákóczi that Berlioz used in the Damnation of Faust , and composed 84 airs resulting from the tradition, mainly from the musics of dance for the Verbunk.
