Demography
At the XIXe century, the commune of Izeaux was the object of the special attention of certain doctors because of generalization of the cases of Sexdigitisme raised in particular since the end of the XVIIIe century. These genetic modifications were explained by a strong endogamy due to the insulation of the village.
