Izanagi
Izanagi is one of both kami S which according to the religion shintoïste governed the creation of the world and the Japan.
The ground at the beginning was empty and “like a jellyfish in the sea”. Izanami and Izanagi, the female and the male will then decide to go down on ground to populate it. But for that, it was first of all necessary to create a dry land. It is what they did by means of a halberd that they soaked in the ocean and agitated in all directions. The drops fallen from the halberd formed the Japanese islands, while starting with Onokoro (" first ground ferme"). After an unfruitful experiment because it was Izanami which had taken the initiative of their union, both kamis generated many others kamis which formed all gradually that nature contains: islands, mountains, rivers, wind, sand…
But whereas it gave rise to the kami fire, Izanami was mortally burned and was withdrawn with the kingdom of deaths. Insane on pain, Izanagi decided to go to join there. He managed indeed to find Izanami, but this one begged it not to look at it because it was first of all to ask for the authorization of return on ground to the kamis of the hells. But the impatience of Izanagi was stronger and it succeeds in surprising his wife. It was then horrified to note that the body of this one had started to rot and spread a horrible odor. Izanami, humiliated and furious to be surprised, was put at the continuation of Izanagi which fled.
Izanagi managed to escape to him from accuracy and sealed the entry of the kingdom of died of a heavy stone. Izanami declared to him whereas to be avenged, it will kill each day 1000 creations of Izanagi. But this one answered that it will create 1500 of them, thus giving rise to the cycle of the life and death.
Izanagi then will purify and water washing its wounds will leave others kamis, of which Tsukiyomi, kami of the moon, its right eye; Amaterasu, kami of the sun, its left eye; and Susanoo, kami of the storms, its nose.
