Iyad ibn Foamed
Iyad ibn Foamed or Qadi Iyad ibn Mûsâ ibn Iyâd ibn Ammâr Al-Yashûbi Al-Sabti (1083 - 1149) was a Maghrebian Cadi , acquired with the Malékisme.
Iyad belonged to an old Arab family of Yemeni origin which had been fixed at the Maghreb, with Ceuta. After having remained with Al-Andalus, it passes from Fès to Kairouan.
After having finished its studies, it leaves in Spain to follow the teaching of several Masters before making his return to Ceuta in 1121. After having occupied various stations with Grenade it becomes in 1145 Cadi for the school Malékite de Ceuta. He wrote several works on the Islam of which Ash-Shifa Bi ta' front huquq Al-Mustafa . He played a great political role by taking the head of the resistance movement anti Almohade. After the victory of its movement, it is thorough with the exile with Marrakech or it dies there in 1149.
