Ix Chel
In Maya mythology , Ix Chel was represented by an old woman acariâtre who poured her flask of spite on the ground. It would have helped the snake at the time of the flood.
This malevolent divinity was the goddess of the floods and the storms which caused many destruction at the time of the tropical storms.
It was the wife of Itzamna; she seemed the goddess of water surrounded of the symbols of died and of destruction, a snake rolled up around its head and of the bones were used as decoration with its dress.
But Ix Chel also seems to have had some good sides, it seems to have been the goddess of maternity and the inventor of the art of weaving. It was undoubtedly the goddess of the moon.
