Ivanovo (in Russian: Ru Иваново) is a Ville of Russia, located in the Oblast d' Ivanovo, of which it is the capital. Its population is of: 418200 inhabitants in 2005.
History
The current city is resulting from fusion, in 1871, of the old village of Ivanovo, founded in 1571, with the textile center of Voznesensky Posad. Until 1932, the agglomeration bore the name of Ivanovo-Voznesensk .Ivanovo played a certain part in the release of the Russian Révolution of 1905.

At the time of the Census of 2002, Ivanovo was populated of 431.721 inhabitants.
