Ivan Petrov (General)
Ivan Yefimovich Petrov (Russian: ИванЕфимовичПетров; September 30th 1896, Trubchevsk - April 7th 1958, Moscow) was a Soviet Général , commander of army starting from 1944.
It began its military career in the Red Army in 1918. During the Second world war Petrov was a Master of the defensive war, he took part in the Bataille of Sébastopol and was promoted to direct the Maritime Armée in October 1941, July 1942 and of November 1943 in February 1944, the 44e Armée in August - October 1942, of the Group of Army of the Black Sea, the Face of the Northern Caucasus, the 2nd Belorusse Face. From April in June 1945, he is chief of staff of the 4th Ukrainian Face. In May 1945, Petrov was named Héros of the Soviet Union. The the United States decorated it with the Distinguished Service Cross-country race by the Order n°3 of the General Department of 1944.
