Ivan Andreïévitch Krylov (in Russian Cyrillic Ru ИванАндреевичКрылов, February 13rd 1769 - November 21st 1844) is a Russian writer .
After begin with satirical dramas and comedies, it publishes in 1809 a first collection of Fable S. This one will be followed several other collections, which will be worth with their author an immense popularity. The fables of Krylov often borrow their subjects from those of Ésope and the Fountain.
