Its cacuminal
In Sarde and Sicilien, some Phonème S comprising a double Consonne have a its cacuminal or Post-alveolar or Rétroflexe, which means that the sound is done with the point of the language which is pressed on the palate.
Sardinian examples:
-
bidda = city - actually, here the sound cacuminal is at the same time geminated (double consonant) (delivery)
- cuddu, cudda = this, this (delivery)
Sicilian examples:
-
iddu, idda, iddi = it, it, them
- cavaddu = horse
