History

The Italy was built in 1908 for the CGN. It is a twin boat of the Vevey (1907). It is the second of the name on Léman. Its living room of 1 class is in mahogany tree and lemon tree.

In 1956-1958, the boat was renovated and its steam engines were replaced by an engine diesel-electric. Its chimney was shortened. The living room of first class of style Empire was preserved. Consequently, the Italy carries out during the beautiful season the service Bouveret - Geneva - Bouveret.

It is temporarily except service since December 2005.

Technique
