Italian highway A91

The highway A91 , which connects the Italian capital Rome to the airport of Rome-Fiumicino and the A12 (Rome - Civitavecchia - Leghorn - Genoa), is one of shortest of Italy. It develops over an overall length of 18,5 km and its inauguration goes back to the years 1960 at the time of the opening of the airport Escale.

Currently A91 is free of toll because it is managed directly by the Italian State through the ANAS (Azienda Nazionale Autonoma delle Strade).

History

The section was deprived of classification during many years. Still today its code remains unknown with the majority of the citizens. Many road panels were not substituted and one can there read has Fiumicino , where the " A" is inserted in the Logotype octagonal common to the Italian highways.

Since the year 2000, the ways were carried to 2x3 in the direction Rome Aéroport.
