Italian highway A11
Located completely on the territory of the Tuscan area of , a11 highway, said of Florence to the sea (Firenze-Pond), is historically the second Italian highway built under the fascistic mode after the Autoroute of the Lakes between 1928 and 1932.
Of a 83 km length, it is about the road artery having the strongest traffic of the Toscane and it connects Florence to the littoral, the north of Pisa, by serving the industrial areas of Prato and Pistoia, the valley of the Nievole and the area of Lucques (Luca).
In the years 1970, an access road A11/A12 of 14 km was built with height of Lucques to directly connect this highway with a12 Highway to height of Viareggio in direction of Genoa.
