The Italian Popular party (in Italian, Partito Popolare Italiano) is old a Political party Italy N, of type Démocrate Christian.

It joined in the Margherita of which he is the principal founding member, after having convened its last Congress in Rome (in EURO, March 8th 2002) by approving a motion, by a show of hands, envisaging the end of its political activity like a party and while being transformed into a political association and cultural which preserves the same name as this party. He wants to be the heir to old the Italian Christian Democrat, of which he represented the current of center-left and of which he had taken again the name of pre-war period. ----
