Issenheim

Issenheim is a common French, located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.

Its inhabitants is called Issenheimois and Issenheimoises.

Geography

Issenheim is located at an average altitude of 250 m, with the foot of the under-Vosgean hills. The communal round of applause extends on a surface from approximately 816 hectares and the Lauch crosses it of west in east.

History

The whole of the history of Issenheim is available in the work " History of Issenheim" of Michel Haering, local historian and mathematics professor with the college Champagnat d' Issenheim. This work was published in 1992, at the time of the 100ème birthday of the case of the Mutual credit of Issenheim.
