Isonzo

The Isonzo (in Italian) or Soča (in Slovenien) is a river of Slovenia and Italy. 138 km length, it takes its source with approximately 1100 meters of altitude in the the Alps juliennes and is thrown in the gulf of Trieste. Frontline between the Italy and the Austria-Hungary during the First World War, the valley of Isonzo was the theater of violent one combat of 1915 with 1917, until the Bataille of Caporetto.
