The Île of the Cape to the Grinding stones is an island in the Golfe the St. Lawrence. It is the second island in term of surface of the archipelago Québécois of the Îles of the Madeleine.

The Island of the Cape to the Grinding stones is the central island of the Archipel, including/understanding the centralized hospital and the other public services, just like the port of arrival of the cross bars. The port of Cape-with-Grinding stones is the starting point of the excursions in boat for fishing, the observation of cliffs and the visit of the Île of Entry. The island divides itself in three localities: Cape-with-Grinding stones, Fatima and the Pond-of-North.

One can admire there the church out of wooden of Lavernière, classified historic building of the Quebec since 1992, one of the most imposing still existing wood churches in North America.
