Island of Embiez

The island of Embiez (in Occitan Of Provence LEIS Embiers according to the traditional standard or LEIS Embiés according to the Standard mistralienne) belongs to the heirs to Paul Ricard since 1958 and is at a distance from 1km of Six-Furnace-the-Beaches close to Toulon, France.

The Port-Saint-Pierre is easily atteignable Brusc (harbor village), in high-speed motorboats and ferry boat, or with ford since the peninsula of Gaou. The marina of Embiez was built dry and put out of water then, at the considerable prices of work.

The island shelters the strong Saint-Pierre and the oceanographical institute Paul Ricard, which marine fight against pollution. One can visit there the aquarium of the oceanographical institute Paul Ricard.

The island is also a refuge of the Ligue for the protection of the birds (LPO).
