Island Cook (Islands Sandwich of the South)
The island Cook () is one of the islands southernmost of the Sandwich islands of the South, near to the island Thule and the Île Bellingshausen.
She was discovered by a British forwarding ordered by the captain James Cook in 1775. The island was baptized in the honor of Cook by a Russian forwarding led by Bellingshausen, which explored the Sandwich islands of the South in 1819 - 1820.
