Isild Le Besco

Isild Besco , born the November 22nd 1982, is a Actrice, Scénariste and Réalisatrice of French Cinéma.

Biography

It is the third of the five children of the French actress and journalist and Algerian extraction , Catherine Belkhodja; his/her father is Breton and originating in the Vietnam. His/her sister, Maïwenn Besco is actress and director. His/her brother Jowan Besco, actor and documentarist was the Chef operator of two films that Isild wrote and realized: Half tariff and Charly . His/her sister Léonor Graser is also actress and her last brother Kolia Litscher, is also actor, in particular in films of Isild Le Besco.

Career

Former student of the school of the children of the Spectacle, Isild initially made studies of dance part-time before integrating the Estienne school.

She is chosen by Emmanuelle Bercot for its first short film the Holidays which was selected with the festival from Angers and Cannes. Isild interprets then the role of Elodie in a telefilm which very poses the problem of the minor young girls disorientated by an early pregnancy. Isild alternates the roles with the cinema then, by continuing its activity of scenario writer and director. In the tread, it founds its own production company Sangsho.

It is the voice of the princess in U and obtains the price of the best young person actress (Price Marcello Mastroianni given by Catherine Deneuve) to the Mostra of Venice for its role in Untouchable the of Benoît Jacquot. It incarnates there a young actress who decides to stop her repetitions of theater in Paris, to leave to research her father to India. Then, in Not soft presented to the last Festival of Berlin, it incarnates a young suicidal nurse under the direction of Jeanne Waltz.

In 2007. it then completes its second feature-length film, Charly , which will leave in room in September 2007.
