Isaac de Beausobre , French Protestant minister, (1659, Niort - 1738, Berlin)

Forced to leave the France when Louis XIV had proscribed the reformed Religion, it took refuge in Holland, then with Berlin (1694), where he became Pasteur and was filled favors by the king.

One has of him:

  • of the Sermons
  • a translation of the New-Will
  • a History of the Manicheism (Amsterdam, 1734 - 1739) (this history was highly attacked by the Jésuite Lorenzo Alticozzi)
  • a Histoire of the Reform since 1517 until 1530 , posthumous work, published with Berlin, in 1785 in 4 volumes in-8.

His/her son is Louis de Beausobre.
