Doctor Kleiner, who recommended Gordon Freeman to be employed in Black Mesa, works with him in the department of Abnormal Materials and was one of his professors to M.I.T.. He manages to survive resonance in chain and the catastrophe which resulted from this with the assistance from Eli Vance, but the way in which he managed to escape remainder unknown factor. A young photograph of Kleiner is present in Half-Life 2 , on a cover of Popular Scientist , a fictitious scientific magazine (and parodies American magazine Popular Science ) whose publication is former to the incident of Black Mesa. Above, it carries rouflaquettes and has more hair (which is still brown).
