Isaac Austin

Isaac " Ike" Austin , born the August 18th 1969 with Gridley, California, is a former American player of Basket-ball.

Biography

Pivot of 2m08, Austin was selected at its exit of the Université of Arizona State by the Utah Jazz in 1991. It carried out averages of 2 points and 1.1 rebounds during its season rookie with the Jazz, and after two mitigated seasons, it signed with the club of Tuborg İzmir a team of the Turkish league of basketball. Austin carried out averages of 22.3 points and 13.9 rebounds during the season 1995-1996 in Turkey and it turned over in NBA the following season at the Miami Heat. With a found confidence, Austin registered 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds for Heat and accepted the trophy of NBA Most Improved Player in 1997. Austin carried out its best season in 1997-98 when it carried out averages of 13.5 points and 7.1 rebounds whereas it played for Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers (where it was transferred in the course of season against Brent Barry). After this season, it signed a lucrative contract with the Orlando Magic, but its play started to regress. Austin was transferred to the Washington Wizards against Ben Wallace after one season in Magic, and Wizards transferred it thereafter to the Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies, with which it finished its career in 2002. At the time of the season 2004-2005, Ike Austin involved the Utah Snowbears, a team of the American Basketball Association 2000.
