Isaac Anken

Isaac Anken , born the May 25th 1885 with Satigny and deceased the November 7th 1945 with Geneva, is a politician Suisse member of the radical-democratic Parti.

Biography

After studies of Agricultural engineer with Nancy, it becomes assistant with the service of the agriculture of the Canton of Geneva in 1911 then chief of the service in 1920.

Elected official to advise State in 1936, it takes the head of the department of agriculture until his death. Within this framework, it takes an active share with the compartmental rehandling of the canton and with the drainage of the plain of the Aire and of Sionnet. It also reorganizes agricultural training at the school of horticulture of Lady of the manor and defends, in the name of the Council of State, the interests of Genevese agriculture in the free-Switzerland conflict relating to the free zones. It in addition takes part actively in the cantonal Federation of the working gardens and in the creation of the association of the ground Corner.
