Isaac Albéniz

Manual Isaac Francisco Albéniz , born the May 29th 1860 with Camprodon (Province of Gérone, Spain) and dead the May 18th 1909 with Cambo-the-Baths (Yrénées-Atlantiques, France), is a Pianiste and Spanish Compositeur . He is particularly famous for his works for Piano inspired by the folk Musique Spanish. Francisco Tárrega transcribed for the Guitare a great number of its parts. These transcription S takes part today largely in famous of Albéniz.

Biography

Although none of his/her parents is musician, the Isaac young person very early starts to study the Piano so that to the four years age, it gives its first concert to Barcelona with the Théâtre Romea and causes a sharp admiration.

When it is seven years old, the young wonder is brought to Paris by his/her mother to make it admit with the Conservatoire. It also takes courses with Marmontel but the child, considered as too inattentive, is quickly returned; he returns in Spain. In 1868, the Conservatoire of Madrid receives it, but the Isaac young person prefers to occur in concert and to devote himself to improvisations in front of the Spanish public.

Four years later, whereas it is only twelve years old, the Albéniz young person flees his native land and traverses American the Atlantique coast, of Rio to New York, during two years. On its return, he undertakes short studies with the Conservatoire of Leipzig (for two months) then to the Conservatoire of Brussels (he is the pupil of Gevaert) where he points out himself by his bad conduct. There remain three years there, until 1879.

Large traveller, made the Albéniz young person, with Budapest this time, the meeting of Franz Liszt in 1880. As from 1883, it is fixed at Barcelona and marries there a former student, Rosina Jordana. As from this year, the odd musician devotes himself fully to the composition and the education of his four children.

Initially installed in London, then attracted by the Parisian musical life, Albéniz are fixed in the French capital in 1893. It is the occasion for Isaac to attend musicians like Vincent d' Indy, one of the founders of the Schola Cantorum.

Isaac Albéniz dies on May 18th, 1909 of a renal affection, with Cambo-the-Baths.

It was decorated about the Légion with honor.

Albeniz is the great-grandfather of Cécilia Sarkozy.
