Isa Miranda

Isa Miranda (of its true name Innate Isabella Sanpietro ) is an actress Italy, born the July 5th 1905 with Milan (Italy), deceased the July 8th 1982 with Rome (Italy).

Biography

Born in a very modest family, it starts to work as of the twelve years age as worker, then as typist. Teenager, her physique attracting leads it to pose like mannequin and to appear in small local spectacles. She then decides to become actress and changes her name for that of Isa Miranda.

In 1934, it turns in film of max Ophüls the Lady of everyone , a success which makes of it a high-speed motorboat. That enables him to turn then with some large European realizers and to hope for a career in Hollywood. It indeed signs a contract with Paramount in 1938 to play in Zaza of George Cukor, but must give up it after an car accident. It makes then two films which do not have success, and returns to Italy.

The continuation of its career in Europe is brilliant: it turns with the largest realizers. Its role in Beyond the grids of Rene Clément is worth to him the price of female role to the Cannes festival of 1949.

In 1977, a fall which breaks the hip to him puts a final point at its career. She dies on July 8th, 1982 in a Roman private clinic, continuations of this accident.
