Irvine Welsh is a Scottish writer born in 1961 with Edinburgh. Leaving the school at 16 years, and passing by several odd jobs such as repairer of TV, nothing predestined it with a career of writer.

Trainspotting , its first novel, was a world success, adapted to the theater then with the cinema by Danny Boyle. Irvine Welsh makes an appearance in film in the role of a dealor at the sides of Ewan McGregor.
