Irritator
Irritator challengeri is a related Dinosaure spinosauride with the Spinosaure . He lived at the beginning of the period Crétacé, there are approximately 110 My. The current estimates on its size indicate a 8 m length for a height of 3 Mr.
He was named by the Paléontologue S Martill, Cruikshank, Frey, Small & Clarke in 1996. Its only Fossil known, a cranium of 80 cm discovered with the Brazil, had been very darkened by Plâtre added by the paleontologists amateurs who had discovered it, and had required a main effort of restoration - from where the name. The name of the species challengeri comes from the character of professor Challenger created by Arthur Conan Doyle in the novel Le Monde lost .
It is probably synonymous with Angaturama filed , another spinosauride same geographical area and time whose remainders supplement cranium of Irritator curiously: they could be same species or same specimen. It is not even excluded that Spinosaurus and Irritator can be congeneric (i.e., that Irritator challengeri could actually be Spinosaurus Challengeri)
