Irene Jaumillot

Irene Jaumillot , born the September 16th 1938 with Algiers and dead the October 7th 1994 with La Baule, was a professor of famous song and large a Cantatrice.

Biography

Born in 1938 with Algiers from a Corsica mother and a father Toulon be born, it was professional singer with the opera of Paris where it made a career fulgurating with in particular a first price with the Conservatoire of Paris in 1958 and, the same year, the first Prix Osiris, as well as a Grand Prix of the lyric disc for Guillaume Tell. She was a success always growing until a very serious car accident stops its career. Sufferings, care, rehabilitation of the body… Irene Jaumillot will be raised through will and will become an excellent professor. She will come to teach with Rezé then in various academies, in particular with Clamart in Paris region, by always keeping the same will to deal with the new generation of beautiful voices. Irene Jaumillot will die the October 7th 1994.

Career

Irene Jaumillot was professional singer of the opera of Paris, large lyric soprano.

She was first price of the Conservatoire higher national of music of Paris, large Prix Osiris in December 1958, soloist of the French Radio-Télévision, Grand Prix of the lyric disc and professor of song and lyric art.

After its first prices with the academy of Algiers and its first price of the higher national Academy of Paris, it obtains the Grand Prix Osiris (first price of the first prices).
