Girl of Ounas, Pharaon of and Khenout, it marries the Pharaon Téti legitimating her accession with the throne thus. Ensuring continuity between the two dynasties, it gives him a son, Pépi {{Ier}} which will reign in its turn with its continuation.

Burial

Located at the north of the funerary complex of Téti, its falls was discovered by Victor Loret and is the subject of new recent excavations. These last made it possible to clarify the importance of the character. Indeed, married in second weddings by Téti, Ipout was not to thus occupy the place of Grande royal wife of Pharaon. Its tomb had been designed besides initially like a Mastaba, for finally being transformed thereafter into pyramid by his/her son Pépi {{Ier}} once assembled on the throne, proof of an extraordinary change of destiny.
