A bearing towards the systems Windows 2000/XP/2003 was carried out: WIPFW (See the description of French WIPFW on Framasoft).
The order user making it possible to configure ipfirewall is ipfw .
Qualities
-
ipfirewall can filter the connections created by a local process according to UID or GID of the creative process, which can be useful to authorize/prohibit the access to certain beaches of addresses/protocols for certain people.
Defects
-
Like the majority of the free Fire walls X, Ipfirewall does not manage IPsec, the proxys, IDS, the waiters of Authentification and full with other technologies which commercial avoid-fires have the practice to manage. To do that it is necessary to use other modules BSD which are configured separately.
