Iowa (river)

The Iowa ( Iowa River in English) is a Affluent the Mississippi which crosses the state of the Iowa, with the the United States.

Iowa is formed of the junction of two arms: a western arm and an arm are which takes both their source in the county of Hancock and meet 40 kilometers downstream. It moves then towards south-east and crosses the towns of Iowa Falls and Marshalltown. In the county of Johnson, it obliques in direction of the south and crosses Iowa City. A stopping was built in the north of this city, creating a lake artficiel: the Coralville Lake. In the south of Iowa City, the river receives two of its principal affluents: the English river, then Cedar, in the county of Louisa, before its junction with Mississippi.
Of a 482 kilometers length, Iowa is navigable starting from Iowa City, to a hundred kilometers of its mouth.
