Invasion anglo-Soviet of Iran
The Invasion anglo-Soviet of Iran is an invasion of the Iran by the the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union, having for code name the Operation Countenance , of the August 25th 1941 with the September 17th 1941. The goal of the invasion was to make safe the Britannique oil fields with Abadan and to guarantee a road of supply (see Persian Corridor ) for the Soviet combatants against the Nazi Germany on the Front of the East.
