Introduction and allegro (Ravel)

the Introduction and allegro for Toothing-stone, Flute, Clarinet and Quartet with cords, of Maurice Ravel, was composed in 1905 on an order of the manufacturer of pedal toothing-stone with double action Erard . Work was created on February 22nd 1907 with Paris at the time of a concert given by the French company of photography .

This work is quasi contemporary crowned Danse and Danse profanes for Harpe and cords of Claude Debussy, also written to promote a new chromatic toothing-stone in the competitor manufacturer Pleyel . It is noted that it is the Erard model which will constitute the modern toothing-stone, that of Pleyel falling into the lapse of memory.

The Introduction and allegro comprise two movements as its name indicates it but is carried out of only one holding over approximately ten minutes.
