The intestinal chronic inflammatory diseases , more known under the acronym MICI , gather the diseases related to the Inflammation of the Intestin in chronic matter and whose origin is unknown.
Among the diseases concerned, two are quite distinct: the Disease of Crohn which relates to a segment of the digestive tract and the hemorrhagic Rectocolite (RCH) limited to the areas of the Rectum and sometimes of the Côlon.
Forms
The two principal forms of these diseases are the Maladie of Crohn and the
hemorrhagic Rectocolite of which there exists for each various type.
Diagnoses
Although various diseases exist, various symptoms are similar: abdominal pains, diarrhea, vomiting, hématochézie, loss or profit of weight as well as other associated effects (
Arthritis for example).
The Middle Age of discovered of one MICI ranges between 15 and 35 years, in general following various examinations: Functional IRM, Coloscopie, Biopsy, Défécographie, Manometry anorectale, Anuscopie, Endosonographie, electromyography, echography endoanale etc…
Treatment
The various treatments depend on the level of gravity of the disease, the MICI can require the
Immunosuppression to control the symptoms, such as the
Azathioprine, the
Méthotrexate or the
Mercaptopurine even a form of
Mésalazine.
Forecasts
Although the MICI can largely limit quality of life because of the pains and other fatal consequences, it is rare that it is fatal with the life. On the other hand, any person reached of one MICI cannot cure and will have to follow a treatment to life as well as a follow-up to prevent the aggravation of the disease or to decrease it.
