  • division between the interpreters and the type-setters is a singularity of the Western music. This opposition concerns, not only the erudite music or traditional of the countries of Occidental culture, but also, the various related musical currents (such as Jazz, Blues, derived popular musics, etc), in a word, “the music practiced and consumed in the industrialized countries”.

  • Traditionally, the musical project in question is transcribed on a document called Partition of music, by means of a marking system (the Solfège generally). This partition is the material support of the musical work that the interpreter has the role of realizing.
