Internet Systems Consortium

The I nternet S ystems C onsortium ( ISC ) is an public agency with nonlucrative goal of which the goal is to help with the implementation of a “car-organized universal Internet”. It is about an independent structure, the developers taking part creates and maintains in it in particular software like the distribution DHCP (waiter and customer), BIND (waiter DNS) or of InterNetNews (INN).
ISC point of disjunction also one of 13 “waiters DNS root” (F) as well as files Usenet.
History of the ISC
The ISC was creates in 1994 under the name of I nternet S oftware C onsortium to allow the development of BIND up to that point developed by the Université of Berkeley and Vixie Enterprise. The ISC changes name (but not initials) for I nternet S ystems C onsortium in 2004.
