Internet Inter-ORB Protocol

The protocol IIOP (for I nternet I nter- O RB P rotocol in English) meaning communication protocol between ORBs via Internet is the communication protocol employed by CORBA when two ORB S can communicate while resting on IP.

It is simply about a variation of the protocol GIOP (which defines the way of sérialiser and désérialiser the data exchanged between ORB S as well as the way of describing the object and the method which will have to be called upon) using the pile of protocols IP as transport.
